Welp that was interesting. Last night a very low key night for the opening gig for the “new” TLA. Taylor was AWESOME! Did we mention this guy is a savant when it comes to the drums? 19 years old and plays better than guys 10 years older than him. We have it on video tape and will post some (though the sound quality sux).
If you missed it, you didn’t miss a lot, other than TLA won’t be slummin’ it in dinky little venues like that anymore. We’ll keep ya posted! As well Jeff has agreed to do a daily (or semi-daily) rant as we find it pretty funny when he does it around us, so we figure we’ll give it a try here. Plus watch for the new “behind the scenes” webisodes coming soon!
Ringtones Updated

The ringtones have been updated to version 2 of “Still Standing” versions (the latest disc) on the download page AND there are a lot more of them! You can find them here or by clicking on “Downloads” on the main TLA site page.
New Drummer Announced!

The search for drummers is over! The response to the TLA “drummer wanted” ads was overwhelming! After many weeks of trying out many awesome, talented, and amazingly committed people, TLA is proud to announce that we have finally found a new addition: Taylor Sanderson.
In the end, this guy was the most talented with the best fit as to what the guys have going on. Check out Taylor’s page should you want to know more. This puts TLA in a position to be gigging again, and in fact we will be announcing the next several gigs over the next couple of weeks with one as early as Halloween! Tour information to follow soon after that.
We once again would like to thank all the guys who tried out. You guys were awesome, and keep at it! With the kind of commitment and talent shown by many of you, you will find what you are looking for!
TLA also wishes Andrew Whiting the best in finding happiness in whatever it is he wants to do. Take care mate and (again) we wish you all the best.
New Samples

New samples are up on the “Music” section of the site. These are the first 4 songs from the last disc (Still Standing) NEWLY recorded, re-mixed, and re-mastered. Not all pieces of the songs were redone, but large chunks of them. This is the precursor for the release of the ‘version 2.0’ disc coming around September 2010.
‘The Radio Edits’ is another disc including the first 4 songs from the disc, but edited (and mastered) specifically for radio due to the amount of requests we were getting for radio play. These can be found here or you will be able to buy the discs at the TLA store within the next month or so if you REALLY want it (I know all you die-hard’s like me will).
The good news is that if you have a ‘version 1.0’ disc, you have a collectors item. These will still continue to be sold at the TLA store until what’s left of the 1000 are gone. Once they are all gone, they will never be manufactured again (i.e. only 1000 ever made, and even less than that actually signed). So if you don’t have one, you may want to get one! They won’t be relabeled in the store until the v2.0 disc has been released.
